Assistance League has finished this year’s Operation School Bell® shopping events after clothing over 3,000 students at local Walmart and Target stores. The students are selected by the school counselors. Elementary students get to shop for $100 worth of clothing. Middle school students get to shop for $125 worth of clothing. We enjoy the delight on the faces of the children, and we look forward to starting up again in the fall. New clothes make all the difference for these children as inflation has strained all family budgets.
