The 1701 Group, formerly Assistance League of Reno-Sparks, is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to helping those in need in our community by serving students, seniors, and veterans. For almost 50 years, we’ve been hard at work growing into a thriving organization with almost 400 members and11 philanthropic programs that directly benefit from your donations, community grants and proceeds from Thrift & Gift on Vassar.

Our Links to Learning Committee has been busy giving money to teachers and school libraries. Teachers can apply for $500 awards for classroom projects.
